Refund Policy

Odysseus Education

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for paid services provided by Odysseus Education, including personal tutoring, mentoring, and consultancy services.

We aim to ensure fairness, clarity, and transparency in all financial arrangements.

1. General Principles

 

Odysseus Education provides professional services based on time, expertise, preparation, and intellectual input. Refund eligibility depends on the type of service, the stage of delivery, and the circumstances surrounding the request.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Services already delivered

  • Time already allocated or used

  • Work completed or substantially completed

  • Dissatisfaction based solely on academic, career, or institutional outcomes

We do not guarantee specific academic, admissions, employment, or policy outcomes.

 

2. Personal Tutoring and Mentoring Services

 

a) Single Sessions

  • If a session is cancelled with at least [24/48] hours’ notice, it may be rescheduled without charge.

  • If cancelled with insufficient notice, the session fee is non-refundable.

  • If Odysseus Education cancels a session, you may choose either a full refund or a rescheduled session.

b) Prepaid Session Packages

  • Refunds for unused sessions may be requested within [14] days of purchase, provided no sessions have been used.

  • Once one or more sessions have been delivered, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for unused sessions, unless otherwise stated in the service agreement.

  • If a discounted package rate was applied, refunds may be recalculated at the standard single-session rate for sessions already delivered.

c) Early Termination by Client

If you choose to discontinue mentoring after services have begun:

  • Fees for sessions already delivered remain payable.

  • Any remaining prepaid sessions may be refunded at our discretion, subject to reasonable administrative deductions where applicable.

 

3. Consultancy Services (Institutional Clients)

 

Consultancy services involve preparation, research, and allocated professional time. Refund terms are as follows:

a) Before Work Has Begun

If cancellation occurs before substantive work has commenced:

  • Any deposit paid may be refundable, minus reasonable administrative or preparation costs, as outlined in the service agreement.

b) After Work Has Begun

If work has commenced:

  • Fees for work already completed are non-refundable.

  • If a project is cancelled mid-delivery, payment is required for time and work completed up to the cancellation date.

Specific cancellation and refund terms may be outlined in individual consultancy contracts and will take precedence over this general policy.

 

4. Exceptional Circumstances

 

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. In cases involving:

  • Serious illness

  • Family emergencies

  • Significant extenuating circumstances

Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be requested where appropriate.

Issuing refunds outside the standard terms is at the sole discretion of Odysseus Education.

 

5. Dissatisfaction with Services

 

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our services, we encourage you to contact us promptly so that we can address concerns constructively.

Refunds will not automatically be issued based on dissatisfaction alone. However, where services have not been delivered as agreed, we will take appropriate corrective action, which may include partial refund, service adjustment, or additional support.

 

6. Processing Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment wherever possible.

  • Refunds will typically be issued within [7–14] business days of approval.

  • Any transaction fees charged by third-party payment providers may be deducted where applicable.

 

7. Non-Transferability

 

Refunds are issued only to the original payer and cannot be transferred to another individual or institution unless otherwise agreed in writing.
